Physical Therapy

Can I go to bed yet?
What can make a little boy this exhausted? 1 hour of physical therapy, that's what. Poor little guy has torticolis (tightening & shortening of neck muscles) which causes him to always tilt his head to his left. If this does not get corrected he can stay tilted forever, develop scoliosis, or have eye issues.

Our physician referred us to Mary Free Bed because they are the only facility in West Michigan that has an infant physical therapy program. I feel horrible going to MFB, Wyatt is healthy and many of the kids who are there have Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy or Down's Syndrome.  I guess I just need to see it as reminder to thank God that Wyatt is healthy and to stop complaining that we have to do PT because all of those children's parents would love to be there for a simple neck tilt.

We went to physical therapy for the first time about a month ago. Ms. Allison gave us exercises to do at home with the hope that we could cure it within a month. We went back yesterday to see our progress and she recommended that we start coming every week for the next 12 weeks. Then in a couple of weeks they will do a scan of Wyatt's head to determine if he needs a helmet. I am pretty sure he is going to end up needing to wear a helmet. His ears are not symmetrical, Ms. Allison ensures me that this can be fixed. I am just afraid that it won't and kids will make fun of him.
